Hello I have a house from around 1900. At some point, a bathroom was built in a small space on the upper floor. Now we are supposed to fix this up... Two of the floor joists on the upper floor need to be spliced properly, what's the best way? Two planks on each side and threaded rods with nuts perhaps? What dimension then? How should the joist be sawn? All tips welcome! I don't have the ability to replace the entire joist without enormous modifications to adjacent rooms. Best regards William
