I'm going to build a bike shed according to http://www.byggbeskrivningar.se/cykelforrad
The posts in the frame consist of two 45x95mm pieces of lumber. I now realize that I have received adjustable post shoes that are 96mm and the posts should be mounted so the width is 2x45mm, which means 90mm. I don't know if there are 90mm post shoes for the st:eriks footings with 22mm iron. How can I solve this in the best way? Add a spacer? They suggest assembling with through hex bolts, and then the post shoe will be tightened. I need some beginner tips on this, maybe it's not a problem. Enlighten me!

The post base compresses to 90 mm when you tighten the bolt. It's only 3 mm on each side that needs to be pressed in by the bolt.

Edít: why not buy a post that is 95*95?

Now I don't know what your chair shoes look like, but it's not always a good idea to squeeze them together. I would have added some spacing.
A couple of pieces of board or cut something to six millimeters. It's not so critical, but adapt the material based on whether it will be exposed to moisture.

Because you need to have notches for the hammarband. Check the drawing in the link and you'll understand. They told me it's better with two studs since a whole post is more likely to crack.

Yes, perhaps board is perfect to achieve it. The posts will be under the roof, and there's potential splash from the road gravel which is the substrate.
Thanks for the help, it nags at me a bit in the head having a problem I'm unsure how to solve!

Yes, it is true that square posts tend to crack more easily, and it is also easier to cut two pieces of 90*45 than a 95*95 post if you are using a normal-sized miter saw.
