I have a post consisting of 2 bolted-together 45x45 beams, which I need to make as torsionally rigid as possible. The part exposed to torsion is about 2m high; the rest is screwed in place. Splitting and glue-laminating is unfortunately not an option. The twisting movements can be quite violent. Any tips?

The easiest way is probably to Skruvlimma on more material. But as tobbbias writes, a picture and a bit more explanation would help.
