Trump podium?

We are going to build a small drum podium for digital drums, sized approximately 140 x 170 cm.

The simplest possible construction should be a board - on sound-dampening feet. Could Sylodyn be an option?

Is MDF the most sensible material?

Where can you find boards that large?

Raw plank should be the cheapest, nicest, and best. On top of this a rubber mat, or even better but less easy to clean, a regular carpet like wall-to-wall carpet, drums tend to skid around if there's the slightest possibility.

Raw board? But with raw board, don't you need some kind of frame or joists underneath?

I was thinking of a simple construction with a single large sheet, plywood/mdf/osb/whatever (I don't know...) with a bunch of feet underneath.

We already have a mat to put on top that works well, meaning our current drum mat (like a thicker carpet.)

Place the sj pallet at the bottom on the floor, screw any thick board of your choice into the pallet.
It will be approximately 15-18cm high with the pallet + board.
If you use sturdy real sj pallets and not disposable pallets, it will be stable.

The purpose is for home use. The drum set is in a bedroom on the second floor. It sounds a little to the adjacent rooms, but not enough to disturb. However, on the ground floor, the pedal stomping is heard far too loudly.

There is a method where you take two equally sized boards, drill appropriately sized holes straight through both boards. First, you lay down one board, place tennis balls in the holes, and then put the second board on top:

Now, my drum set is much larger than the one in the picture, I need 140 x 170 cm to fit everything.

(Pallets I don't think would be allowed by all family members.)
