We have renovated an old fireplace where we installed an insert and plastered the brickwork. The original plan was to paint it white, but we like the light, somewhat raw look it has now. The problem is that when you run your hand over it, small grains of the plaster fall off. Is there an appropriate surface treatment to bind the dust with minimal change to its appearance?
