I have a new concrete slab in front of the tile stove that I want to treat against stains, mainly soot and spills.
(Renovation after a fire.)

However, I would prefer to keep the current light color!

I have seen recommendations for fatty products like oil and wax, as well as things like water glass and Silane.

It seems that water glass or Silane are not the best options for me as they don't seem effective against stains (and my problem isn't water penetration or frost).

Opinions and tips?

Remove your second thread on the same topic is tip #1. Double posting is never appreciated.

But in your case, I would suggest a linolja-based soap, saturate thoroughly.

Saw it now. Got an error when I tried to post it so I thought it didn't work.
