Working on chipping away a lot of plaster, and the mess is both heavy, dusty, and sometimes sharp. My idea of using black plastic bags was not great. You couldn't load much before the bags broke when trying to lift them.
Does anyone have an idea of what I should do? The plaster remnants have to go down three flights of stairs and be driven to the dump. It would be nice if neither the stairs nor the car became too dusty.

buy those "leaf baskets" with handles that you can put everything in and carry down (are made of thick rubber/plastic) or if you have a garbage can you can borrow/use and put everything in and roll down the stairs.
Keep in mind that it will be heavy if there are large bags/baskets/barrels....
Is there an elevator? If so, a wheeled soptunna is perfect!

Unfortunately, no elevator, so stairs are the only option. It feels like you need some sort of closed container to prevent it from getting dusty. Much of the debris is like fine-grained sand.
