Tips regarding patio construction

Hey, I've started tearing and poking a bit at the deck in preparation for the spring renovation, not really sure how to proceed.

The problem is that there's quite a big height difference between the deck and the lawn outside, about 1 meter.

I'm not really sure how to proceed to make sure it stands up against the soil.

All tips are welcome

forgot to add that the entire flower bed should be torn up too
