I have mounted a mirror on the wall in the hallway, it is 68x152 and weighs 12kg. It is secured with small "loops" at the top, fastened with wood screws that are properly screwed into studs. However, it does not rest on anything at the bottom.
I am considering small "u-angle brackets" or "z-angle brackets" that can be attached to the same stud, but at the bottom, to "grip" the mirror against the wall at the bottom. If the brackets are small and preferably white, it won't matter to the appearance that they're there, safety first.
(the images of the brackets are merely examples of what they might look like).
Or do you have other suggestions? The wall is drywall with studs at 60cm intervals
