Planning to organize a room in the basement.
What do you think about this week?
What's the best and most stylish thing to do?

My partner is going to have a "salon" so there will be some people in there.
Basement room with visible plumbing pipes and a radiator, part of a renovation project. Discussion on creating a salon space.

I would have rerouted those pex pipes. Switched to hard pipes and routed them in the ceiling. That must be a temporary routing because it doesn't look right.

Haha if only it were that good. I have extended the house and had a big company that installed these ugly pipes. Maybe it's my fault. Because I said it wasn't that important since it’s a basement.

Bring out the metal studs and build a wall outside.

A bit what I thought. But it will be awkward with the window. It will be a deep window. And complicated with the radiator.

If you continue with MathiasS' idea but move the wall out a bit, turning it into a long, narrow storage room? Or does it take away too much of the room space? You would have the same problem with the radiator, but it shouldn’t take too long for a plumber to fix, unless you take it on yourself. There is plenty of help available on this forum.

Another option could be to put a shelf where the pipes go, as a surface to put things on, then a curtain down to the floor in a nice color, or you build it in as a box, yet with the option to see if a leak should occur.

The room is not too big so I need the space. I'm considering enclosing the pipes in a box, but it will look strange since it's in the middle of the wall. Hanging something over it is more appealing. For example, hanging a wire from the ceiling and draping a curtain or something similar over the ugly wall.
