Currently installing a Contura 520T in the house, newly built house. However, the foundation (concrete) where the stove should stand has been neglected and the foundation is uneven.
Therefore, we are considering installing tiles, the same as we have in the hallway, and thereby also making it level at the same time. THE QUESTION IS whether the tiles will hold, and whether the filler, grout, etc., used underneath will hold up? Stove 210kg plus chimney is quite a bit of weight...
ps. I know that stoves are discussed in another part of the forum, but this is a "tile question," so I'm trying here with...ds

I think it will hold. My sister has a Contura that stands on tiles which in turn rest on plasterboard and chipboard.
Is it possible to use tiles in a garage where a jack, engine lift, and tools are used, one should be able to have it under a stove. Right?! Although the very cheapest tiles might not be recommended, check with the seller to be sure.
Yes, that sounds good
- I'll also check with the tile store tomorrow.. Another problem is the fact that the floor is not level and you have to use filler or something similar to make it level under the tiles.. - Concrete filler?? Which type, name, model, etc??? Anyone know..
