We plastered our laundry room in the basement this spring and are about to start painting now. Silicate paint is very expensive, so I'm considering putting tiles instead. It's nicer and if you find a cheap version, it might even be cheaper. But the question is whether it breathes enough. Do you think it allows enough moisture to pass through?
