I have a room that needs drywall. OSB is already installed. But I'm wondering, is there any other effective thinner alternative to drywall? To not build in the room as much.
Wood paneling would probably end up about the same thickness.

Anything else?

Why do you want it thinner?

There is renovation plasterboard that is 6mm, more expensive and in my opinion worse.
But can you really notice if the room is 12mm smaller?

Thanks for the answers.
Well, 12 mm in the entire room is noticeable compared to how it is currently. But there don't seem to be good alternatives, so it's just a matter of going with gips.

You could try easycover or something similar directly on the OSB if you are that tight with the millimeters.
