Need to fill a gap above the refrigerator. The dimensions are 600 width 115 height. I have been looking for a ventilation grille, but haven't found one in the right size. Previously, there was just a wooden board there that broke and didn't fit quite well either. So now I'm thinking of just putting a thin little board to fill the gap.

Any tips on a thin board that can just be glued in as a filler?

Alternatively, I could replace the thin strip that is on the existing wooden board. What are these types of strips called? The strip is glued onto the wooden board to fit into the gap.

As I said, already checked. But haven't found anything with the right dimensions.

A grid of 600x100 should work. There's plenty of those. You get a bit better ventilation with a grid than a cover plate.

Put a cover with a grille in it. Ventilation and stylish.
Ikea's grille is 43*9.5 so it fits.
