Hello,
I have a balcony above the entrance of my house from 1951 and today a substantial piece came loose in the corner. How and with what should it be best repaired? Please share tips and advice!

I imagined a pile of broken boards when I read the headline..
It looks like there's plaster on the wood, is that correct?
Regardless, it's probably moisture from the balcony that caused it, check if everything is sealed and how the drainage of rainwater looks on the balcony and fix that first, otherwise you will have to redo everything again.
