Planning a renovation of the summer cottage and trying to read up a bit on how it should be done.
I'm a bit unsure about things like the function of the air gap in walls and roofs, meaning why there should be an air gap between the cladding and the wind protection in the wall. The same goes for the attic, why is an air gap needed at the eaves?
Then I'm wondering what provides the wind protection function in a roof with roof boards and roofing felt. Is it the felt or the boards? The felt is primarily a rain barrier, right?
Thanks
