Some time ago, I discovered that the floor in one of the basement rooms sounded hollow. Now, two months later, a large part of the floor has risen like a bulge and the tiles remain intact. It sounds hollow when you walk on the tiles. The house is from 1971 and I re-drained it 12 years ago. I laid the tiles 15 years ago directly on the concrete floor. What could be causing this and what should be done?

Do you mean that the tiles have come loose or has the concrete sole lifted?

The concrete has finally shrunk so much that the slabs are coming loose, there are some threads about it and it can happen after a long time and just lift and relay. Some expansion joint is not wrong.

We should probably assume that it is the tiles that have detached from the concrete.

Shrinkage in concrete can cause this, but if the tiles were installed when the concrete was over 30 years old, that shouldn't be what explains this issue.

Exactly how did you install the tiles? For example, if you used a dense primer, you will get moisture under the tiles that, over the years, can affect the concrete so that the primer and thereby the tiles detach from the concrete. There is a special primer for this purpose that allows water vapor to pass through.
