Hello!

I have a wall in the garage that functions somewhat as a separator for the workshop area in the garage. I would like to remove that wall since I want a more open floor plan in the garage, more room to move around.

I opened it up a little to see what it looked like inside. I can't quite tell if it has any structural function, the wall is not in the middle of the garage but more towards the workshop side, so that makes me think there shouldn't have been any structural intent behind it, but I'm unsure.
Here are some pictures, hopefully someone can answer whether I can remove it or not.

Thanks in advance!

  • Damaged garage wall with exposed insulation and broken plaster, showing part of a workshop area.
  • Damaged garage wall showing yellow insulation and torn drywall after partial removal.
  • Garage wall with damaged plaster reveals yellow insulation, with tools and materials scattered around, wooden shelf holding rolls of material above.
  • Garage wall with shelves holding various tools, paint cans, and garage supplies. Shelves separate garage and workshop area; discussing removal for open space.
What do the roof trusses look like?

Considering the garage door visible in one of the images, I imagine the wall runs parallel to the roof trusses and is therefore not load-bearing.

Here are some drawings of the garage.

  • Blueprints of a garage with detailed measurements and structural annotations.
  • Blueprints of a garage showing dimensions, storage area, walls, and structural details.

You don't have a section drawing?

These were the drawings I had hoped someone would help with.

Is there anything built on top of the garage? Or is it just a flat roof that slopes to the right (viewed from the garage door)?

No, there is nothing on the garage. Gravel as drainage or whatever the reason was, is the only thing.
