I am going to tear down the wall into the pantry.
Is there anything I should consider? The wall is made of hollow mold brick.
All tips are welcome :)

  • Drawing of a basement floor plan with an arrow pointing to the wall of the food storage room, indicating where demolition is planned for renovation.
Personal protective equipment (hearing protection, eye protection, respiratory protection, work gloves, protective shoes).

Set up full coverage plastic walls around the work area to prevent construction dust from spreading throughout the house.

Is this something that needs to be reported to the municipality/building committee?

Good tips, thanks!

Since the wall does not appear to be load-bearing, no building permit/building notification is required.

I suspected that, but wanted to hear from byggahus users too 😁👍🏼

Knocking down a wall can be quite fun.
Rammstein at too high a volume doesn't make it worse!

I was thinking of taking one brick at a time, probably need something calmer music-wise I think 😁

Understood!
I tore down a part of a lekablock wall with a sledgehammer. It was a mighty thud when it fell 😎
