Tear Down T-Wall

I would like to demolish the marked T and make it much more open.
This is load-bearing since the trusses are lying across this wall.
How should I approach this? What kind of beam should I install instead?

It is not possible to answer based on a broker's drawing. Construction drawings and information about the year of construction and snow zone are needed.

If you (the municipality) do not have any construction drawings, you will probably need to bring in a structural engineer who can inspect how the house is built. It looks like it may have been remodeled (walls removed) as well, which complicates the situation.
