Hi, I installed swan neck moldings yesterday. But I'm unsure if I installed them the right way. What do you think is the correct way to install them?

Swan neck ceiling cornice in wood and white finish, questioning the correct installation direction.

Ceiling with installed swan-neck cornice pointing downward, viewer asks if orientation is correct for installation.

Both ways work, but I have been taught according to the upper picture and have always installed the molding like that!
