I was highly impressed by my insect racket for 20 kronor that easily took out that lone mosquito that sometimes bothers me. Now I want to build my own bug zappers, electric insect killers like the one on: but with a taut metal net. I can handle the electronics without any problem, and I also have an idea of how to construct it. But: for a suitable net for this purpose, what should I buy?
The thing is a voltage between double nets that insects fly between, a short circuit occurs, and the mosquito is gone with a small pop. Insect nets are out of the question because they are made not to let insects through. Chicken wire can only catch butterflies. Any tips? My bug racket has a mesh of 6 mm.
