Hello everyone knowledgeable

I have a question/consideration.
I have a garage roof. (See picture) which today is paper, tongue and groove boards, roof beam. Gypsum.
I will cast an insulated slab. Instead of asphalt. And will also insulate the walls. And change the door.
But now to the roof. As you can see in the picture, the garage is connected to my and my neighbor's house. And the roof beams (roof joists) go from house to house. And if I am going to insulate the roof, I need ventilation. Or?!
There are some different options. Tight construction?! Drill holes in the joists and vents at the front and back of the garage.
I considered vents. It's possible to install vents. But it would be, in that case, 2 per section? Many vents in that case.
I haven't planned to have 20c all year round but at least 5-10 in the winter. Will have a radiator in there.
The idea is not to replace the entire roof.
Thanks in advance
Stefan
Connecting garage roof between two houses, featuring white paneling and a closed door. Shelving visible on the right side with a vent cover on top.

Flat garage roof connecting two white houses, with black roofing material and overhanging plant, surrounded by white and red houses.

Wooden garage ceiling construction with visible beams and some gaps, possibly for ventilation considerations.
