Suggestion on tearing down stud - best way
Hello,
I have these horizontal battens that are attached to a concrete wall. I guess it might be nail plugs or something similar.
They are as solid as a rock!
Does anyone have tips on the best way to remove these? Usually, brute force and muscle are my method, but I thought - there must be someone with some clever tricks, so I'm trying to write here.
I need to completely remove the battens.
Thanks!

The screw head doesn't look so fun. I would have probably used a core drill around the fastening (a hole saw works too, just that you have to offset the hole) and hoped that the stud isn't also glued. Then you only have the fastenings themselves to deal with afterwards.

Violence, break the rule and knock off the pin or saw off the pin with tiger or fein. I would go with option 1.

I misunderstood how to use the impact wrench. You're right, you can try with an impact wrench on the screw head. However, I don't have an impact wrench =)
I wonder if a trusty chisel would work to knock off the nail with?
Then I would probably try violence, an honest crowbar against the concrete wall and you can surely break out the frame, though the screws will likely remain.
A chisel probably won't work very well, and you might ruin it in the process.
Once you've removed the frame, I would try to break the screws by hitting them up and down until they snap, or alternatively saw them off with a reciprocating saw if you have a metal blade.
If there are plastic plugs, you can also try to pull them out with the crowbar.
Don't forget to put something between the crowbar and the wall if you try to pry the frame loose, so you don't make unnecessary marks on the wall.

Now I have torn everything down. Really good tip to use the chuck!
Now I'm going to put up other studs in the same place. But do you know if you can use the old drill holes in the concrete wall?
My plug seems to fit. But I thought I would check with someone more knowledgeable first. Or do I need to "seal the hole" with some compound?
