Hi everyone, I'm a new member but have been reading here for a long time and have gotten lots of tips.
I've been struggling to clean a ceiling with layers of old distemper paint - but how can you be sure that you've reached the 'base', so that it's possible to paint with primer without it peeling off? And how long do you have to wait to see if it worked?
We thought about test painting a section to see what happens, but is it enough if it hasn't peeled off after a day or can it happen later, days, weeks, months?? This is an ongoing nightmare
