I personally fixed the steel studs with angle brackets to the wall, using two per stud. Only insulation on top.

Then two layers of fiber-reinforced plasterboard and then tiles.
How?

Smart!
But I meant how the angle sits against the rule, with some air between

Haha, smart. I meant more if you let there be an air gap between the wall and the rule. So the angle iron acts as a spacer.

Air gap of a few cm, the built-up wall was not completely straight either.

This method suits me as the concrete wall behind is quite uneven.

Most likely it will be steel studs with angle iron and fiberglass gypsum. Air gap at the top and bottom.
In one corner there's the old air inlet, should I leave it open so that air is drawn into the wall or should I brick it up? I will make a new hole for a vent.

  • Interior wall corner with exposed brick; old air vent marked with yellow circle. Discussion on using metal studs, angle iron, fiberglass, and creating a new vent.

I would probably have sealed it up, can't see the point of having fresh air behind the panel.

reviving an old thread here, but did you just use angle brackets and steel studs and skip the tracks on the floor and ceiling? Or did you have both? I'm in a similar situation now so I'm looking for inspiration 😅

I chose to plaster the walls and insulate the base from the outside with eps.
