We are planning to add a layer of 13mm drywall in our living room. Our tile stove maker suggested placing a minerit board for the last section closest to our tile stove instead of drywall. Today, there is a brick fire wall there. The question is whether it's possible to make a neat seam between the drywall and the minerit board? Will the wall look the same after I have painted them?

Is it perhaps overkill with a minerit board? The tile stove does get warm, but it's only for a few hours a day in the winter; the air temperature against the fire wall is unlikely to exceed 50 degrees.
