I wonder if it's a bad idea to plaster a wall in different stages? I'd like to plaster around the light switches first so that area is completely done, and then plaster the entire wall. But is there a risk of getting ugly seams between the plastered areas that will show later on?

Is it generally recommended to plaster everything in one go or how do "people do it"? :)

It works to putty in different rounds...

Seamlessly spackling around outlets is no problem to manage directly.

I am methodical, and when it's the first time, I want to do one thing at a time and not feel stressed trying to do everything at once.

Anyway, it went well, the spackle is currently drying/set (or whatever you call it) now. This is probably going to be great :)
