Hi. I'm planning to soundproof against 'thumping' noises in the wall. Here's the plan: 1cm air gap, 70 steel studs with 70 insulation, 2 layers of drywall. Acoustic sealant will be used.
Does it work?
Should the electrical outlets be insulated in some way?
Should HEAVIER drywall be used than 'regular' drywall?
Anything else to consider?
