Solid oak plinth - where can I find it?

I'm going crazy, can't find what I'm looking for! :x

I want a 16cm baseboard in oak for my kitchen. One length of 3m and one length of 2m. The longest foiled (or is it veneered?) baseboards you can buy are 2.40 meters. This means there will be a joint on the 3-meter length. Hate joints.

So I started looking for solid oak baseboards. You might think this is an easy task, but wherever I look, there's no one who has this!

Is it just me who doesn’t want joints in my baseboard, or what’s the problem??

Does anyone have a suggestion? Should I ignore the joint and go with oak-foiled baseboards, or are there better solutions?

Furthermore, when you google for baseboards, you don’t get many sensible results. Is it called something else in professional jargon?

Check with LGB timmerhus in Motala (lgbtimmerhus.se) they can surely fix what you want, it probably won't be a low-priced building material store price, but you get what you pay for, as they say!

If one would still decide for oak veneer and thus a joint, what should one look for at Ikea and Byggmax? Can't find it. :|

It's just called a sockel. However, Ikea only has 8cm high ones, and byggmax is 15x120cm.
