I am tired of all the smart plugs that last 1-2 years. Now I want to replace the outlets. Can anyone recommend good wall outlets that can be controlled with Google etc?

But do they sell regular outlets or do you mean you put a Plejd inside?

If the only reason you want to switch to outlets is because the plugs break, you should probably consider "why" they are breaking for you.

The technology in a smart outlet is not significantly different from the technology in a smart plug, and it is significantly more expensive to replace a broken outlet than a broken plug.

Behind the existing outlet if there is enough space. Alternatively, in a box outside the outlet.

Which brands of plugs do you use? I've had mine for many years without a single problem. My oldest ones are from Nedis and connect via Wifi.

What smart sockets do you have today that don't hold up? I have a Schneider Exxact Wiser Zigbee that seems to work just fine.

But I only use it to measure current. If you let the relay work a lot and turn on and off several times an hour, many smart sockets are likely to give up quite fast...

I have been using IKEA Trådfri plugs and light sources for many years, and it works well. I also have their gateway, so it can communicate with Apple and Google.

I've used Nedis and Cleverio. I now have 3 plugs that, for various reasons, aren't working. Nedis suddenly stops receiving while Cleverio has completely broken.

Both of those are probably Tuya WiFi plugs with different branding? So essentially it's the same thing you've bought (and will be if you buy WiFi plugs except for Shelly)

Test Plejd SPR-01.

Or add a couple of hundred and try Plejd CTR-01 instead, so you avoid a plug that takes up a lot of space in the outlet.

The easiest way is probably to install a complete outlet?

With 1 controllable and 1 outlet always on.
I assume you need to have a Wiser Gateway, or is there a possibility to control it without one?
Regardless, a rather expensive solution if you just need a single one.
