Hi, I am not ready to part with the molds yet! :) They were purchased from www.historystones.com.

Best regards,

/Christer

Okay Christer, but if I understand correctly, it's enough if I just buy one mold. Then it's just casting the concrete in the mold, right? Is there anything else I need to buy if I want it exactly like yours? Like the post?

Lelle

Lelle, If you are going to make one like mine, you will need 6 different casting molds. You can have just one of each, but it will be bothersome and time-consuming if you only have one mold for the stakes in the fence.

Best regards,
Christer

Hi Christer. Do you have any new pictures of your beautiful balustrades?

Best regards, Lelle

Hello again and thank you! I am working on a new entrance with larger columns and I plan to post some pictures of it all when it's finished. Probably later in the fall.

Best regards,
Christer

Okay, looking forward to the pictures. Maybe I can hire those who do the work at your place :)

I'm afraid "they" are quite expensive to hire! ;) I'll come with more pictures later.

Thanks for the tip Christer.

Currently replacing our wooden fence with more durable concrete pillars.

Front porch with white balustrade, concrete steps, and red lanterns outside a yellow house.

Now there's only one section left, then there will be filling, grouting, and painting when the warmth arrives. A newly constructed porch section with white balusters and a future project planned for spackling, grouting, and painting.

Nice!

But what will you do when it's time to replace the decking? Or are the balusters placed loosely on top so that you can "just" move them?

Thank you.

In each cast bauster, there is a reinforcing bar, so I have only made holes in the lower rail (also in concrete) so that the balustrades stand in place without glue, etc. It might be hard to see, but that rail is "hanging in the air" above the decking. By the way, I changed the decking 2 years ago without needing to remove the old "fence" that was there.

Hi Jan. First, I want to say that your balusters look super nice. Then I want to ask you a bunch of questions :)
Can I get the number of those who did the work? If one lives in Stockholm, of course.

Best regards, Lelle

Thank you Lelle.

I actually did it myself. Cast in the garage during winter, 2 at a time. Not so difficult but a bit time-consuming as there are often some "air holes" in the concrete that need to be filled. Ended up with a total of 18 for a cost of about 200-220 SEK each (that also includes the cost for molds/concrete/rebar/paint).

Ok. Is there any chance to get your help? Can I call you? Or email?

I would really appreciate if I might be able to get your help, for example, you can cast for me (for payment) or rent out the molds.
