I'm thinking of building a small cart to tow behind a bicycle. The dimensions will be 2m long, 1.3m wide (oval though), and 1.6m high from floor to ceiling. Depending on the choice of materials, the weight will be 100-400 kg.

I'm wondering where I can find suitable wheels for this and axles. And whether I should try to find one long axle or if I should separate them. Does anyone have tips on where I can buy this? I might consider adjusting the width of the cart somewhat. Preferably spoked, but others are also fine.

I will build the chassis in wood (the picture below shows in steel) because I do not have access to welding and to make it easier. For example, Bauhaus sells pressure-treated posts 95x95mm. One of these could form the frame.

The pictures below are from three different cart projects I found. However, they are old projects and foreign, so it would be difficult to ask them for tips on where to find things in Sweden.
A bicycle pulls a small trailer with wooden siding and metal frame. The trailer has two spoked wheels and a rounded top, moving on a street. Wooden frame structure of a bicycle trailer on wheels, under construction. The frame is oval-shaped, showing interior supports and a box nearby. Steel cart frame with dual wheels on two axles, lying on a concrete floor; part of a bike trailer construction project example. What's the purpose? Sounds really heavy, hope you don't have any hills where you live.

Transporting children or stuff?

Hahaha yes, I'm aiming for as easy as possible! And e-bike. And it's flat! The idea is to bring it as an alternative to a tent for one person.

Check e.g. on Pinterest "bicycle trailer diy" for ideas.

Thank you! I will do that. And do you have tips on where to buy wheels and wheel axles?

I am also curious about where to buy that type of wheel that is not mounted in a fork but hangs on an axle. It seems to be called "lapp wheel" in English. Did you (BengtH) find any good place to buy them?
