Hi! We have a single-story house with a basement where the foundation of the house is high. We want to remodel the entrance to the house but have a hard time envisioning how this might look. We find it tricky when everything is so elevated. Currently, we have a wooden staircase and a small porch. Can those of you with single-story houses with high foundations show how your entrances/stairs/porches look?

We have a single-story house with a basement, and we built a deck outside the entrance. From the ground to the deck, there are three steps; from the deck to a landing outside the entrance, there are three steps. The landing is about 1.5-2 square meters, with about 1 decimeter between the landing and the top of the threshold. Everything is made of wood.

The old deck was about 1 decimeter lower. Originally, there was a concrete staircase with a landing right outside the door, which had 6-7 steps. The top of the landing was level with the bottom of the threshold.

This sounds nice, feel free to send a picture if you have one!

Anyone else have ideas or even better pictures of something similar? :)
