Well, it's approaching an unfortunate expense in the form of replacing the sill on a wooden house with a brick façade. I have received two quotes where the price differs significantly. The methods also differ:
Option 1:
Replace the existing sill with first 50mm EPS s100, then sill paper and a new sill. The outside is covered with some form of rubber mat and then asfaboard.
Option 2:
Replace the existing sill with a steel profile, then sill paper and a new sill. The outside is covered with minerit board.
I am a bit skeptical about the idea of the whole sill resting on foam, but the quote with that option is significantly cheaper.
Which option do you think is best?
