The net should be on a stable - gable - weather-exposed location and with a window - if that matters at all.

I put my latticework all around the stable. Place the roll on the ground (on something so it doesn't get dirty) and pull up and staple. Kind of like wallpapering with "Easy Up."
Make sure not to get any "bubbles." Experiment to find what works, but the easiest way is probably to staple in the middle a bit down and then out towards the edges.

That's how I saw it "with my mind's eye" too - but the nets I HAD seen were set up horizontally - so I was a bit puzzled. Maybe it doesn't really matter - but, well =O)
Yes - "bublor"... maybe that's why the current net undulates like a stormy sea! There's 1 mm render under the net and 30 on top sometimes and the next place the opposite...
