Going to mount IKEA cabinets on the wall at my daughter and her partner's place, who have bought a one-story house, a Hjältevadshus from 1987. The studs in the wall are at 60 cm centers, but I can't hit all of them with the cabinets. The wall panel itself feels extremely thin and is probably some kind of particle board? It "flexes" easily inward when you press on the wall. Anyone who might live in a Hjältevadshus from the '80s or has experience with interior walls in such houses from that time and knows how they hold up when screwing?

Likely a thin particleboard. Drill a small hole and it will quickly show if it's particleboard or gypsum and you can also measure the thickness with a wire.
