I have 3 large oak trees on my property that I want to take down, but just for taking down the trees they want between 15-20 thousand, then an additional 5-10 thousand for removal.
My question is if anyone knows if there are companies/sawmills in the Stockholm area that buy individual oak trees and, if so, what one can get paid.
Thanks in advance!

I have heard that people are often skeptical about cutting oak that has stood in gardens because there is a significant risk of nails and other metal debris having grown into the trunk and not being visible but damaging the blade during sawing.
A "bondsåg" I don't think is as picky as the larger ones. I did a quick Google search and found, for example, Carlsdal såg in Vingåker (http://www.carlsdal.se/). Maybe a bit far from Stockholm, but they probably know what other small sawmills are available.

Perhaps a carpenter or furniture maker here in the forum will take care of your trees?
Post them on Blocket - It might be worth a try!!
I know oak wood is much sought after on the continent. Why else would wine barrels be made of oak?
Google for Limousin oak and you'll see.
If your trees had already been cut down and sawed, I would gladly bid on a few linear meters of boards and beams. I'm planning to build a workbench. And oak would be perfect.............................
