Hey!
The fire department recommends a tight roof eave on the garage to prevent fire spread.
How do you build it without ruining the ventilation?

Perhaps ventilation in the gable ends and/or ridge ventilation.

Whether it works probably depends a little on how it looks otherwise.

I can probably make any solution, there will be an air gap under the råspont, potentially all the way out to the eaves, so it's optional how you solve it.

However, it's a recommendation from their side, and not a requirement, so I'm considering ignoring it.. :)

Talked to an inspector about this just a few days ago. And he always recommended having ventilation in the eaves. There is a significantly greater chance of mold forming without ventilation than the house burning down just because of ventilation in the eaves.

Ventilation is not something you typically neglect. You should have ventilation between each truss bay as well as gable peak ventilation. I installed so-called "mögelstopper" instead of completely open ventilation between the trusses. But that hardly makes any difference for fire safety.
