Hello,
We have a relatively open sunroom, as you can see in these pictures: http://imgur.com/a/9ywR2, and we need to seal it to reduce the amount of leaves and dust coming in.
Our own idea is to use some sort of sealant that is as flexible/soft as possible where there are smaller gaps. For the larger openings, we were planning to fill them with wood.
Looking at picture 8 (http://i.imgur.com/dTQHVW2.jpg), I think of placing a smaller beam on each side where panels can then be attached on the outside. Something like this: http://i.imgur.com/dJM7l2j.jpg
Questions:
1. Any better suggestions on how to protect this better?
2. What kind of wood should be used? I assume treated wood is not used? But rather buy regular wood that is painted with a few layers?
3. How long can it remain unpainted? Can it withstand 1 month?
4. Which screws should be used? I understand they should be rustproof, but any other recommendations?
5. What sealant is appropriate? It should be as flexible/soft as possible.

There are so many large gaps that there is much to do before it's time for sealant. You can of course get it tighter. Sealing between the corrugated plastic and the studs will be troublesome.
1. Inner walls and ceiling maybe.
2. It doesn't have to be pressure-treated.
3. The paint adheres better if you paint soon, but it's not uncommon for houses to stand unpainted for a couple of years before the paint is applied. No problem with a month.
4. It doesn't have to be stainless steel. Hot galvanized for outdoor use will be excellent. Before the screw rusts away, the wood will have rotted away long ago.
5. I don't think sealant is suitable.
