Due to cable installations, I've had to open two holes in a drywall approximately 20x20 and 30x30. One is up by the ceiling, the other in the middle. Metal studs in the wall and none are directly adjacent. Any tips that work well? This is behind the wardrobe, but you still want it to look good.

Those are quite large holes... if you take, for example, a piece of chipboard 20X30 for the 20X20 hole, put a couple of solid dabs of mounting adhesive on the chipboard piece, one at each end and about 50mm in, and a nail/screw in the middle to hold the piece with, insert the piece into the hole and pull with the nail/screw for a while until the adhesive sets. Then you can glue a new piece of gypsum over the chipboard and plaster.

Or battens along the edge that you fasten and then screw in a plasterboard that fits the hole well. You place the batten so that half of its width protrudes.

Those are some generous holes...
Yes, you have to be able to reach with your hand and light and tools...

Okay, so a chipboard is enough for this; I thought you had to reach to the studs and attach there etc.

That sounded like a great idea!
