Hi

I'm building a home gym in the garage and now it's time to put up a chin-up bar, but I'm very unsure about how to attach it in the best way.

The walls are made of Lecablock, can you screw into them and trust that it will hold? Alternatively, use a plug, or do I need to build a reinforcement to handle the weight?

There are a total of 4 attachment points, but also a lever arm of about 60-70cm to the weight of 100kg?

Help and feedback are gratefully received.

A through bolt should solve the problem ;)

Jokes aside, there are plenty of fastening materials for lightweight concrete/leca/siporex, so it might be best to visit your nearest hardware store and check their selection. In my opinion, there is no method that always works since the aforementioned materials can be a bit tricky, but a couple of sturdy wall plugs with accompanying screws/bolts or perhaps some type of chemical anchors and threaded rods might be something to consider. However, I don't believe in the regular lightweight concrete/leca screws.
