Screw into brick?

Hello!

How do you best screw into brick, I need to attach a bench to a brick wall so it has to withstand some weight. Do you use plugs or what do you recommend, I think it's hollow brick but I'm not sure. What type of screw should I use?

I usually drill into the brick, not the joint, and insert plugs, Fischer is the brand I prefer, they have a model for almost every purpose. Screws also come in a variety of designs, so it's just a matter of finding a size and length with the right head. Esswe and Grabber are two brands that make good stuff, in my opinion. A well-stocked hardware store has a solid wall of these things and if they don't have staff who can inform you about the best choice for your needs, it's not a hardware store

If it is håltegel, you should use a special facade plug that is adapted for it, alternatively, you can also use chem anchors, which are the strongest but a bit more labor-intensive and expensive. I'll complement with some videos:
