I will do the same, but I am counting on my old reliable DW707 being suitable for this job as well.

take a jigsaw with a fine blade. you will get an ugly side and a fine side.
if you want the marked side to be fine, saw from underneath.
a miter saw works well too. but a circular saw can be worse.
