I am moving into a new apartment and have been given permission by the association to tear down this wall. Most people seem to recommend a reciprocating saw with the right type of blade but point out that it creates a massive amount of dust. Some therefore recommend a hand saw with a hardened blade. What do you think would work on this concrete? Would the hand saw be sufficient?

It's hard to tell from the picture if it's blåbetong (doesn't directly look like it), slaggplattor (could be), or lecablock (maybe).

Is the whole wall to be demolished?
Cut a horizontal slit, then use a sledgehammer.

By securing plastic/tarpaulin between the floor/ceiling, you can contain a lot of the dust.

What is recommended for the different types? When will a handsaw work and when is a reciprocating saw necessary?

The whole wall is going to be demolished.

A large sledgehammer and knock it down.

It takes 5 minutes to knock down that wall.

Protect the floor, seal openings, ventilation, and open the windows.
