Heard from an acquaintance who says that nowadays you have to install double plasterboard if you build new interior walls, doesn't sound reasonable to me.
I have an unfinished upper floor with already mounted chipboard and was thinking of adding a layer of plasterboard on top.
Is there any law that prohibits the use of single plasterboard with a wooden board underneath? These are not wet rooms in question.

Was almost what I understood. Thanks.
