We are considering building a funkis.

Height 4.8 m with a width of 18m!
Want about 50cm insulation.

1. What type of trusses would be most suitable?
2. Drainage towards the center or outward?
3. What angle of slope?
4. Cellulose insulation or other?

Links are also welcome.
Thanks.

There must have been a typing error. Do you mean 18 meters?

Truss or light beam.

Outward drainage. I think it's better to build a modern functionalist style with the entire roof sloping in the same direction. Angle about 7 degrees with membrane.

Cellulose insulation will be excellent. Convenient if you build with light beams too, so you can use loose-fill in the walls as well.

Yep. That's what I mean. Also on two levels. Length 18 meters as well. Kind of a multi-generational living. Garage in the building. However, I count on 200 sqm ground floor. And about 100 sqm upper floor.

200 sqm with a length of 18 m becomes approximately 11 m wide. Is that correct? Can you accept pillars or should the flooring be self-supporting?

It's something similar that is pg.
And surely we must accept the load-bearing construction on bv... No choice. A modern two-story building design with a sleek facade, featuring glass balconies and black accent walls.

Am I correct in thinking that you mean the ground floor should have an area of 4.8x18m internally? And then you want a second floor on part of this?

A quick 3D sketch with some rough dimensions would greatly help in understanding.

Will sketch during the day.

4.8 m is the height on the outside for bv. 18m width. 18m depth. However, it is not exactly square.
The idea is to place the upper floor on this. Placed at the back of the house. Large terrace facing the street. Upper floor about 100 sqm. Another apartment.

Oh, it becomes quite significant, I understand your concern with the flat roof.

Exactly...

Glulam or Kerto beams (veneer beams) are probably the most obvious options. A certain systems thinking is required for it to work well. The spans should be chosen to suit both planes. Think in terms of a grid. Designing the structural system in this case is not for amateurs; it requires both experience and numerical skills. But it can be very exciting!
