Hello
I am wondering what the construction for a ridge with a glulam beam looks like. It is the hangers themselves that I am curious about.

In many exclusive builds, a strong glulam beam is first laid almost the entire length of the house (at the top of the ridge). Then smaller roof rafters are supported up against the glulam beam and the rafters are attached with hangers to the glulam beam. (The house's roof rafters thus go between the outer wall further diagonally up to the glulam beam. The rafters do not rest on the glulam beam but are attached to the side.)

My question: what do these hangers look like? They seem to be open, or the workers have cut off the bottom.
Are there special hangers for these attachments?

Best regards,

Interested in such a house in the future

Yes, it must be something like that.
It would be interesting to see more info about such a construction (infästning)
