I need help with suggestions for a roof over the stairs.
I don't know how to start/do to make it look nice.
I've put together the stairs, and I'm quite satisfied with them. But I also need to put up a roof to protect the door, etc.
The stairs are 165cm wide, should the roof be the same width or wider than the stairs? My stairs look like this:
I saw a house that had a good and simple roof that I thought about copying, but I'm not quite sure how it's constructed. I took a photo of it when I walked by...

Not the best pictures, but I didn't want to stand there and take photos; it could look a bit silly if the people living in the house look out while I'm standing there taking pictures
Does anyone know how to make such a roof? What materials do I need for it?
How many degrees should the slope of the roof be?
