Hello,
I am building a cylindrical-shaped roof covered with roofing felt. At the top, there is a ventilated ridge (the felt curves up 4-5 cm on two longitudinal boards, creating a sort of peak on the "cylinder," and between the two boards, it's open down to the air gap under the roof).
I was thinking of covering the ventilated ridge with an upside-down gutter or something similar, but now I see that snow etc. will blow in too easily. Is there a smart solution? The ready-made ridge plates at byggmax are for roofs with a 45-degree slope, and the cylindrical roof is almost flat at the ridge. The problem might remain there as well.
Suggestions for solutions? Do ridge bands work? I've only seen those for tile roofs...
What do you think about a solution with two bent metal sheets covered by a gutter or something similar? See the attached image, it's the ridge in cross-section, sorry for my lack of artistic talent...
